Advantages of Using Rubber Flexible Joints in Hydraulic Equipment

Hydraulic equipment rubber flexible joints significantly reduce vibration and noise in piping systems and fundamentally address issues such as interface displacement, axial expansion, and misalignment in various pipelines.

A rubber flexible joint is a type of pipeline joint characterized by high elasticity, excellent air tightness, outstanding resistance to corrosive media, and superior weather resistance. It features a highly dense internal structure, enabling it to withstand relatively high pressures while delivering excellent elastic deformation performance. Compared with single-bellows joints, double-bellows joints offer greater compensation capacity. This product is manufactured by Jintong Company using a novel air-blowing mold process, comprising a multi-layered bellows assembly—consisting of an inner rubber layer, a reinforcing layer, a middle rubber layer, and an outer rubber layer—combined with loose-fit forged low-carbon steel flanges. It boasts high pressure resistance, superior elasticity, large displacement capability, effective vibration absorption and noise reduction, and convenient installation. Why are rubber flexible joints installed on hydraulic equipment? Single-bellows rubber joints primarily leverage the unique properties of rubber, such as high elasticity, exceptional air tightness, resistance to corrosive media, and radiation resistance. They are constructed by laminating high-strength polyester cord fabric with strong cold- and heat-stability in a bias-cross pattern, followed by high-pressure, high-temperature molding and cross-linking. The resulting product exhibits a highly dense internal structure, capable of withstanding elevated pressures and delivering outstanding elastic deformation performance. Its structural design features a curved end face with a large arc height and extended curvature, providing substantial multi-directional displacement capability, making it particularly well-suited for applications in complex geological conditions.

Hydraulic equipment rubber flexible joints significantly reduce vibration and noise in piping systems and fundamentally address issues such as interface displacement, axial expansion and contraction, and misalignment in various pipelines. Depending on the material, these single-bellows rubber flexible joints can be manufactured to withstand acids, alkalis, corrosion, oil, and high temperatures, making them suitable for a wide range of media and operating environments. The rubber material offers excellent sealing performance, light weight, easy installation and maintenance, and a long service life; however, contact with sharp metal tools should be avoided to prevent puncturing of the bellows. When installed overhead, elastic supports may be used. During installation, bolts must be tightened in a diagonal sequence. If pipeline pressure is excessively high, limit bolts should be employed to connect the flanges at both ends. Flange connections shall comply with GB 4216.3–4216.5 standards, which may be specified separately.

The working pressure ratings for rubber joints are 0.6 MPa, 1.0 MPa, 1.6 MPa, and 2.5 MPa.
